Love Story

Every love story is beautiful, but ours is our favorite. Here's how our journey unfolded...

Dinu Soman

👔 The Groom

👰 The Bride

Mary Paulyne Driza

Dinu is a thoughtful, dependable, and faith-driven accountant known for his quiet strength, integrity, and devotion to God—qualities that shape both his work and relationships—as he looks forward to building a marriage grounded in love, respect, and unwavering faith.

Paulyne is a devoted nurse and woman of faith, known for her compassion, strength, and gentle spirit, as she looks forward to building a Christ-centered marriage rooted in love, purpose, and grace.

First Meeting

We met at a Sunday service in church through some mutual friends. Afterward, we went out for lunch and had a light conversation. Once we started talking, we just couldn’t stop—there was an instant connection that kept growing. As the conversation flowed, so did our interest in one another. I waited, hoping for another chance to meet—if Paulyne was willing.

First Date

To my delight, Paulyne agreed to meet again—this time at the BurJuman Food Court. We shared some delicious food and had a really good conversation. The night stretched on, and neither of us seemed in a hurry to leave. We both had a wonderful time together.

Intention to Marry

On the dates that followed, we talked about so many things—our values, the things we couldn’t compromise on, our doctrinal beliefs, and most importantly, our shared love for the church. We even touched on our future plans. With every conversation, I found myself more and more enthralled by Paulyne. There was a depth to her that captivated me.

Not wanting to wait any longer, I decided to be open about my intentions. I told her that I wanted to pursue her seriously—with marriage in mind—and gently asked if she felt the same way. A couple of days later, she gave me her answer.

Yes!

Following the advice of our pastors, Paulyne and I began reading a few Christian books together to prepare ourselves for pre-marital counseling. It was a meaningful time of learning and reflection. When the counseling sessions started, it helps us to anchor our relationship in the love of Christ.

Through those sessions, we started to understand each other on a deeper level. We talked more openly, listened more intentionally, and grew—not just as a couple, but also individually. Our love continued to mature, rooted in faith, guided by grace.

Pre Marital Counselling

The Proposal

On April 13th, 2025, I planned a surprise proposal—one that Paulyne had no idea was coming. I had arranged for it to happen right after the morning worship service at our church, surrounded by our church members, close families, and friends. She came to church that day completely unsuspecting, just as she always did—graceful and radiant.

As the service concluded, I took a deep breath, walked toward her with a ring in my hand, and with my heart pounding, I asked,

“Mary Paulyne Driza, will you marry me?”

And she said, YES.

Wedding Day

Now, we look ahead to the day when Paulyne and I will stand before God, our church, families, and friends to exchange our vows and become husband and wife. It’s a moment we’re both looking forward to with joy and reverence—one we’ve been prayerfully preparing for together.

This journey has been filled with grace, laughter, growth, and a deepening love rooted in Christ. And now, with hearts full of gratitude and hope, we eagerly await the beginning of this new chapter in our lives—together.

The Proposal

She Said Yes!

On the morning of April 13th, 2025, a moment was set in motion that would change both of their lives forever.

Unaware of what was about to unfold, Paulyne attended the Sunday worship service at Dinu’s church, expecting nothing more than a morning of praise and fellowship. But behind the scenes, Dinu had carefully planned a surprise that involved not only the church but also those dearest to them — close family, friends, and the supportive church community.

As the service came to a close and the congregation lingered in the afterglow of worship, the atmosphere shifted. With a quiet courage and a heart full of love, Dinu stepped forward. In front of their loved ones, he held out a ring and spoke the words that would mark the beginning of their forever:

“Mary Paulyne Driza, will you marry me?”

Overwhelmed with emotion and joy, Paulyne said YES — and the church was filled with cheers, tears, and heartfelt celebration.

It was a proposal built not on grand spectacle, but on faith, family, and the deep love they share — a moment that perfectly captured the spirit of their relationship.
